Recognized for Our Commitment to Service

ERMU has received various designations and recognition from the American Public Power Association (APPA), Minnesota Municipal Utilities Association (MMUA), and other organizations.

Reliable Public Power Provider

American Public Power Association

Elk River Municipal Utilities is proud to be a four-time recipient of the American Public Power Association’s prestigious Reliable Public Power Provider (RP3) designation and has advanced its standing in the program from the gold to the platinum level. Of 2,000 public power utilities nationwide, we are one of only 278 to receive this recognition for providing customers with the highest degree of reliable and safe electric service.

An RP3 designation recognizes public power utilities that demonstrate proficiency in four key disciplines:

Criteria within each category are based on sound business practices and represent a utility-wide commitment to safe and reliable delivery of electricity.
