ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by Elk River Municipal Utilities, located at 13069 Orono Parkway, P.O. Box 430, Elk River, Minnesota 55330, until 2:00 PM CDT on August 1, 2024, for Furnishing an Electric Power Transformer for the East Substation for Elk River Municipal Utilities, Elk River, Minnesota. At said time and place, bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The Elk River Utilities Commission will consider and possibly award a contract at its next regular scheduled monthly meeting following the opening of the bids. Proposals shall be addressed to:

and shall be endorsed: Bid Enclosed – Furnishing an Electric Power Transformer
The material required is as follows:
One (1) 15/20/25 MVA at 55C, 16.8/22.4/28 MVA at 65C, ONAN/ONAF/ONAF,
69 kV Delta to 13.2 GRDY/7.62 kV with LTC and accessories
The above equipment shall be in accordance with the specifications and proposed form of contract now on file in Elk River Municipal Utilities offices in said City of Elk River, Minnesota, by this reference made a part hereof, as though fully set out and incorporated herein.
Each bid shall be made out on bid forms furnished by the Engineer and shall be accompanied by either a certified check or a bid bond executed in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid. The bid security shall be made payable to the Elk River Municipal Utilities. The bid security must not contain any conditions either in the body or as an endorsement thereon. Such bid security shall be forfeited to the Elk River Municipal Utilities as liquidated damages in the event the successful bidder fails or refuses to enter into a contract and post a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond. Bids received after the time set for the opening of bids will be returned to the bidder unopened.
Material suppliers desiring a copy of the bid forms and specifications for individual use may obtain them from the office of DGR Engineering, Rock Rapids, Iowa, telephone (712) 472-2531, fax (712) 472-2710, website www.dgr.com, e-mail dgr@dgr.com, no deposit required.
All materials shall be delivered by the dates set in the Specifications.
Elk River Municipal Utilities reserves the right to defer acceptance of any bid for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days after the date bids are opened and no bid may be withdrawn during this period. Elk River Municipal Utilities also reserves the right to reject any or all bids and enter into such contract as it shall deem to be in the best interest of Elk River Municipal Utilities.
