ERMU is committed to offering resources for energy education as well as programs and rebates that help with your conservation efforts. For more than 20 years, ERMU customers like you have led the way for energy efficiency, renewable energy, and the adoption of advanced technologies.
In addition:
- Elk River was designated a Minnesota Energy City in 1997.
- The city has achieved Step 5 in the Minnesota GreenStep Cities initiative.
- ERMU has been recognized nationally by the American Public Power Association as a Smart Energy Provider.
- The city participates in the Climate Smart Municipalities program through the University of Minnesota.
- The City of Elk River is host to a Hometown Solar installation.
